Blog Question: What would an open source intellectual property (IP) and economic development virtual community look like in NEO?
This might be a place online where new ideas and concepts that initiate the process of intellectual property generation are collected. The repository might be an online library with stored information. Inventors and innovators participating in the open source IP generation can collaborate together on new technologies. The new technologies can be developed, new or emerging and come from any field, including fuel cells and biofuels, electronics, nanotechnology, manufacturing, aerospace, etc.
The extended collaboration can eventually include softer forms of "know-how" including expert staff time.
This online community could be linked with funders as well who would be interested in advancing the ideas and co-investing in the creation of inventions, innovations, and new products.
What companies and industries might be interested first in piloting this concept? Thanks!
